    1. Download the OpenVPN program.

    * (May 31, 2024) We have updated the OpenVPN installer to the latest version. as recommended by the developer
    Important: you will need to use the correct installer for your operating system. The Windows 10 installer works on Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016/2019. The Windows 7 installer will work on Windows 7/8/8.1/Server 2012r2. This is because of Microsoft's driver signing requirements are different for kernel-mode devices drivers, which in our case affects OpenVPN's tap driver (tap-windows6).

    2. Installing the OpenVPN program

    2.1 Once the program has been downloaded Please double click to enter the installation process.
    2.2 At the first window of the program installation, press the "Next" button.
    2.3 Select "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" and then click "Next".
    2.4 Press the "Install" button.
    2.5 Press the "Yes" button.
    2.6 The program will install When finished, press the "Finish" button.
    2.7 Notice that in the bottom right corner will appear Icon showing the working status of OpenVPN program.
    2.8 In case of restarting the computer And want to use VPN, open the program through "OpenVPN Connect".
    Then an Icon will be displayed in the bottom right corner like in step 2.7.

    3. Once the program is installed Please download the msu.ovpn file.

    * From the picture above, I use Google Chrome. When I press download, there will be a file displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen.
    * Once the download is complete, you can press the arrow button and select "Show in folder". This will take you to the location of the file.

    4. Installing the msu.ovpn file

    4.1 Double click the msu.ovpn file.
    4.2 The program will show the steps to guide the work. Skip it by pressing the X sign as shown in the picture.
    4.3 Then press the AGREE button.
    4.4 Then press the OK button.
    4.5 The program will ask if you want to confirm the Import Profile or not, press OK.
    4.6 Then set a Profile name, enter Username and Password to access the VPN.
    (It will be the same data set used to access the Internet of the university.) then press Add
    * here, it is recommended to check the "Save Password" field, which will prevent us from entering the information again for the next use.
    4.7 That's it, the profile import is complete and ready for VPN connection, to connect to VPN slide the button to the right.
    4.8 When the connection is successful, you will get the screen as shown in the picture, when you want to stop the VPN function, slide the back button on the left side.

    5. Connecting and using a VPN

    5.1 In case of restarting the computer And want to use VPN, open the program through "OpenVPN Connect" without any settings. more
